Ancient items from the Treasury of the Exchequer of Great Britain, following an inventory conducted by Sir Francis Palgrave, archivist and historian - a skippet, a hanaper or hamper (both used as containers), and 14 sketches drawn on treasury documents, for purposes of identification, very much in the style of symbols used in heraldry, or modern logos. For example, 1 shows an oak sapling (Justices of the Forest), 6 shows a Welshman with one foot shod and the other bare, 7 shows three herrings (Yarmouth), 9 shows two hands joined (royal marriage), and 13 shows an Irishman in hood and cape.
