Light micrograph of benign breast glands. The glands are the somewhat irregularly shaped purple-blue structures, which are surrounded by pink collagen fibres. Closer inspection of each gland shows that it is surrounded by myoepithelial cells, which have a more clear/white colour which contrasts with the other purple-blue cells of each breast gland.
