Lava lake at the summit of Kilauea, Hawaii, USA, on the 15th October 2021. The volcano started erupting on the 29th September 2021. By the 15th October most activity had ceased. The lava to the left of the summit has mostly solidified, whilst a fissure on the right side of the summit continues to erupt lava. The lava lake measures approximately 1035 metres long by 745 metres wide.
