Myra Maybelle Shirley Reed (1848-1889) known as Bell Starr; the Bandit Queen; married a Cherokee Indian; Sam Starr; in 1880. Sam Starr was killed in a gunfight in 1886. Bell was murdered; shot while riding home one night.
