Pleiades, aka Messier 45, embedded in a dusty nebula. Pleiades is an asterism and open star cluster in the constellation Taurus. The cluster is dominated by hot blue luminous stars that have formed within the last 100 million years. The dust clouds are illuminated by light from these stars. It is among the nearest star clusters to Earth and is visible to the naked eye.
