Composite image of the Orionids meteor shower taken over 2015-2022. This meteor shower is visible every year for around one week in October from all over the world. The meteors are part of Halleys comet, which is visible every 75-76 years. As the comet orbits the Sun, it leaves a trail of dust. Every year Earth passes through this trail, causing the debris to collide with our atmosphere and disintegrate, creating fiery and colorful streaks in the sky. Photographed near Presov, Slovakia.
