18th century illustration of a chorister robin-chat (Cossypha dichroa), previously known as the chorister robin, a species of bird in the family Muscicapidae. It is found in South Africa and Swaziland. Its distribution stretches from the southern Western Cape through the Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, Swaziland and Mpumalanga to northern Limpopo. From Histoire Naturelle des Oiseaux d'Afrique (Natural History of Birds of Africa), Volume 3, by Franeois Le Vaillant (1753-1824), published in Paris, France in 1799-1802.
