Henry Maudsley (1835-1918), British psychiatrist and physician. Maudsley pioneered mental health, including the founding of the Maudsley Hospital in south London. Maudsley was also Professor of Medical Jurisprudence at University College London from 1869 to 1879. Photographed in 1881.
