Space shuttle final flight. View from the Solid Rocket Booster (SRB) left aft onboard camera showing the launch of Space Shuttle Atlantis, on the final Space Shuttle mission (STS-135), 8th July 2011. Two reusable SRBs provided the majority of thrust to launch the shuttle to an altitude of about 46 kilometres, after which the boosters burnt out. At 2.12 they are jettisoned from Atlantis and finally parachute into the Atlantic Ocean for recovery. Atlantis returned safely to Earth on 21st July 2011.
