Honeybees (Apis mellifera) pulling dead pupa out of brood cell. Honeybees are able to smell dead pupae in their cells and will remove them once discovered. This one may have died from a disease like American Foul Brood (AFB) or from being parasitized by a varroa mite, one of which can be seen climbing on the back of one of the adult bees.
