Hinner's Point, Marathon Valley, Mars. Pan across an enhanced colour panorama of Hinners Point, at the northern edge of Marathon Valley on Mars. The enhanced colour allows better differentiation between surface materials. Marathon Valley is found cutting through the western rim of Endeavour crater, and observations detected clay minerals there. Inspections by Nasa's Opportunity rover have found rock compositions on the valley floor are higher in silica and lower in iron than the typical composition of rocks on the rim of the crater. This footage combines six frames taken by the panoramic camera (Pancam) on NASA's Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity on August 14th 2015.
